The 3D model is nearing completion basic materiality still remains, along with landscaping and detailing of the studio below.

Most of today's progress was marked by the integration of custom textures, intially this was done in a simplistic manner and on the framic of the geodesic canopy. However the brown colouration of the charred texture along the traditonial implmentation of wooden geodesic framing, seemed a simplisitc solution. Despite altering, the size, colur and pattern of the texture, framing still looked simplistic and so this idea was scrapped later, due to its lack of distincitiveness.

Next I turned to using darker texture to emphaise the curvatures and complexities of the roof structures. The dark pattering emphsises the gentle curves, their contrast with the sky and affords intricacy to the seemingly monlithic multitextured compenents.

The harsh geometry created by the hexagonal dome offered a disjuntive solution to the integration of an interior photography space and so was changed for a comparitively circular and more orgnaic structure. Further more it made it dificult to experiment with interesting material choices which were always required to overshadow its monolithic appearance. A more light-hearted dome was added allowing for a colourful canopy generated by the smooth texture.

The scale of the voids left by the walls of the upper floor presented a unique challenge, after intial thoughts thier design seemed to reflect accessability to veichles rather than people. This dehumanisiation of the architecture was offset through the texturing of the walls. Furthermore the interplay between large and inticate forms was genereated almost solely through the use of the abrasive custom texture which allowed two priveleged viewing angles; from within the veichles and upclose to the workspaces.

However when made to upload the file, Sketch Up automatically adjuested the file size to within the requirements, I am unware of the process by which this was done and so can not attest for the quality of the final model in relation to the model which is visible infront of me the author. To download the original model please click the google drive link below, taking care to download both the .skp and .skb files before opening. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yvdMAz2PMUxV0mcoWn6G9GlERUjdHA70

Begun translating mys section into a 3D Design, currently the exterior of the upper floor and gallery is complete. Two Stairs need to be either redesgined or added, and lansdcape modelling is incomplete. Basic progression in the build is shown through the images below. The following section has been chosen for construction. Diffuse Striation The hexagonal dome was the most obious part of the section and so was intially constructed, a smaller dome being madw within to act as a sort of photography studio for the Kyza. The stright parts of the section were elongated into a trapezoidal shape to accomodate a geodesic structure at the edge. The edges expand to emphasise the experience of the widening of the space and the panoramic views of the landscape offered. The first floor was similarly articulated with basic geometric shapes and considerations for natural lighting through galss windows.  To increase the complexity of the stuructre curves were added into the roof  to metonomise...

My name is Sehaj. I study civil engineering with architecture at UNSW. I don’t want to scare you away! But I prefer you experience this blog personally and intimately. I post for expression, and your viewing pleasure, it’s quite exiting! This will grow as I do, so I extend you an invitation take a look around, make yourselves at home and interact, with what’s on show! To those of you kind enough, I invite you to click the posts and read between the lines(literally!) Hi! My name is Sehaj . I study civil engineering with architecture at UNSW . I am slowly increasing my sentence length for your comfort. As this description goes on my sentences will exponentiate, becoming increasingly complex and intricately detailed. But until then I write simply. This is because I don’t want to scare you away! As we progress, I’d have you note the decreasing formalcy of my tone. Cause I’d prefer you experience this blog personally and intimately . As is...
